Early season backcountry turns Niseko JapanThe snow is falling and the 2010/2011 Backcountry season is underway!! While snow falls under 1000m are still few, snow is falling above the average treeline elevation of around 1200-1300 metres here in Hokkaido creating a solid base.

Nitonupuri Backcountry deep snowGreat powder shoots on our Nitonupuri Backcountry tour. Not a long hike up, but lots of powder to be taken. Great open woodland runs on a generally south to west facing slopes.  Our guides will show you where to go and not to go.

 

Chisenupuri Backcountry Tour

リフトアクセスでバックカントリーに入ります。雪のコンディションによりですが、東西南北滑走可能な大斜面と、リフトで回せるツリーランなど、いっぱい楽しめます。

 

Iwanai CAT Skiing Tour

Enjoying CAT skiing at Iwanai Ski ResortIwanai Ski resort is located approximatley 45 minutes drive from Niseko Hirafu. Situated on the western coast of Hokkaido, it gives way to breath taking views of the sea of Japan and the rugged scenic coastline. After arriving and receiving a safety briefing, and safety check, it is off up the mountain for the first run of the day.
    Depending on conditions on the day, the level of fitness and ability of your group one would normally get 5-7 runs in throughout the day. We return to Niseko Hirafu around 4-5pm in the evening.

Mt. Yotei Backcountry Tour

Carving it up on Mt YoteiMt. Yotei offers you the greatest vertical drop available in the Niseko Area. Several routes will take you to the top of Niseko, where after a lunch break you will be able to sample some long flowing powder turns on varying terrain. The tour requires several hours of hiking up, so is recommended to experienced backcountry enthusiasts only.
